More Than a Deck

We build the whole outdoor living space

A great backyard is designed as one space, not a deck with odds and ends bolted on later. We build the deck, the shade above it, the kitchen beside it, and the patio and fence around it, all by one crew that keeps every detail consistent.

  • Pergolas, pavilions, and covered patios
  • Outdoor kitchens, islands, and fire features
  • Paver and travertine patios
  • Vinyl and aluminum fencing

Reviews

What Orlando homeowners say

We would rather earn the next job than chase it. Here is what that looks like.

Pearls built us a composite deck off the back of the house and it came out better than we pictured. The crew showed up when they said, kept the site clean, and the price was fair. Two storms later it still looks brand new.

They redid our pool deck and added a covered area with a wood ceiling. The whole backyard feels like a resort now. Very professional and they worked around our screen enclosure without any issues.
JRJanelle R.Lake Nona, FL · Mar 2026
We had them build an outdoor kitchen and fire table area. They handled the gas and electrical coordination so we did not have to chase separate contractors. Top notch work and easy to deal with.
TBTom B.Orlando, FL · Mar 2026
Beautiful hardwood deck with custom railings. You can tell they care about the details. Highly recommend if you want something that looks high end and is actually built right.
SMSofia M.Windermere, FL · Feb 2026
Our old deck was getting unsafe. They replaced the bad boards and rebuilt the railing instead of pushing us into a full tear-out. Honest and reasonable. That earned my trust.
GPGreg P.Oviedo, FL · Feb 2026
New vinyl privacy fence and a paver walkway. Clean install, posts are solid, and they left the yard spotless. Great communication from quote to finish.

FAQ

Questions Orlando homeowners ask us

A few of the things we get asked most. If your question is not here, just call and ask.

How much does a new deck cost in Orlando?
Most decks we build in the Orlando area run from about $30 to $60 per square foot installed, depending on the material and the height and complexity. A simple ground-level pressure-treated deck sits at the low end, while an elevated composite deck with custom railings and lighting sits higher. We give you a firm, itemized quote after a free on-site visit so there are no surprises.
Composite or wood: which is better for Florida?
Both work here. Wood costs less up front and has a look that is hard to beat, but it needs cleaning and resealing every year or two in our sun and rain. Composite costs more to install and then asks almost nothing of you: no staining, no splinters, and it does not gray out. For most homeowners who want to enjoy the deck instead of maintaining it, composite wins over the long run.
Do I need a permit to build a deck in Orange County?
In most cases, yes. The city of Orlando and Orange County require a permit for decks, and elevated decks, pool decks, and covered structures also need to meet wind-load and pool-barrier codes. We pull the permits and handle inspections as part of the job so it is done right and on the record.
How long does it take to build a deck?
Once permitting is done, a typical deck takes a few days to about two weeks of on-site work depending on size and whether it includes a cover, kitchen, or pool tie-in. We give you a real timeline before we start and keep you posted as we go.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Pearls Deck Builder is licensed and fully insured in Florida, and we are happy to provide proof of insurance before any work begins. Building to code and standing behind the work is the whole point.
Do you build the whole outdoor living space, or just decks?
Both. Plenty of clients start with a deck and add a pergola, an outdoor kitchen, a paver patio, or a fence. We build all of it and design it as one connected space so the backyard flows instead of looking pieced together over time.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Orlando and the surrounding communities, including Winter Park, Lake Nona, Windermere, Dr. Phillips, Winter Garden, Oviedo, Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, Kissimmee, and Clermont. If you are nearby and not sure, just call and ask.
